A local solution to a local problem

The proposal

Pure Fuels Edmonton based operation – we are just off the A406 - recycles London’s used cooking oil into biodiesel, a green alternative to conventional fuels which is making our environment cleaner.

Pure Fuels can set up and run cooking oil waste collection points for clients.

Pure Fuels can supply biodiesel to small and large clients.

Our waste collection clients have the option to purchase biodiesel for their vehicle fleet at a price to be negotiated, which will remain stable and is not indexed to fossil fuel fluctuations. Fuel can be delivered to you by Pure Fuels. Using the fuel will help your company meet governmental requirements on renewable fuels. There is no tie in to any fuel procurement – but we know you will want more.

More about cooking oil collection points

If the the client requires a collection container he will need to supply about 1m2 space. Pure Fuels offer storage solutions from bespoke to budget to suit individual premises and locations, as each one has different accessibility and storage facilities. Length of contract and pick-up times / frequencies will be agreed to suit your needs, and adjusted as required.

More about biodiesel

Biodiesel produces less CO2 emissions from 100% recycled materials, at the same cost. Biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine without any conversion and in any mix - 5% biodiesel 95% mineral diesel (B5) through to 100% biodiesel (B100). The advantages of B5 are:

Ø      It can be used by any vehicle without infringing warranties.

Ø      It can be used interchangeably with normal diesel

Ø      There are benefits to engine performance

Ø      An increase in lubricity – even 5% biodiesel will increase lubricity by 65%

The benefits of B100 make you wish there was enough cooking oil to power everybody.

Ø     Total Unburned Hydrocarbons -67%

Ø     Carbon Monoxide -48%

Ø     Particulate Matter -47%

Ø     Sulfates -100%

Ø      PAH (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons) -80%

More about the Pure Fuels proposal

Pure Fuels is London’s first commercial biodiesel producer and collects waste cooking oil from clients like the Soho Clubs and Bars Group, as well as well known central hotels and lots of chippies. We can remove 2,000litres of UCO per pick up.

A number of collectors deliver their waste cooking oil to us – we have over 100,000 litres storage capacity on site. In conjunction with these collectors we are able to handle large contracts. Together with biodiesel producers across the country we are currently in talks with a national pub chain to handle their collection.

Pure Fuels also run a biodiesel filling station from their premises in Edmonton. A Trading Standards pump suitable for cars, vans and articulated lorries is at the front of the premises.

Pure Fuels are happy to initially provide a short-term provisional contract to show you the benefits of the service.

The service is fully compliant with waste management legislation, which requires a fully traceable audit trail from collection through to end-product use as well as PPC licence. Pure Fuels also hold a fuel producer licence.

Pure Fuels can produce up to a maximum of 3.5million litres of biodiesel per year at their current plant.
